The Energy Roundtable was launchedby the Canada Europe Roundtable for Business (CERT) in 2004 to facilitate to facilitate investment in Canadian and North Sea energy markets.

CERT is the leading association dedicated to creating business opportunities between Canada and the European Union. Founded in 1999, CERT has the support of more than 100 Canadian and European chief executives and has been a driving force behind the recent launch of negotiations for a Canada-EU free trade agreement. As the principle interlocutor on Canada-EU business matters, CERT develops transatlantic ties by organizing executive roundtable meetings and regular Summit meetings of company-member executives with the Canadian and European leaders.
