A select group of energy and financial executives gathered for the sixth annual Energy Roundtable conference in London, England on the theme: A transatlantic energy partnership.

Organized by the Canada Europe Roundtable for Business (CERT), the conference was co-hosted by the Canadian High Commission and took place on Tuesday, September 29 at Canada House.

The conference gathered 125 delegates from the UK, Europe and Canada for presentations and discussion on developments in Canadian and North Sea energy markets resulting from the dramatic shift in global economic conditions. Topics included industry consolidation, supply and regulatory issues and investments in infrastructure and new energy technologies.

The Energy Roundtable was created in 2004 to provide exposure for companies active in Canada and the North Sea, and highlight important developments in these markets to an international audience.The conference capitalises on the link between Calgary and London, as energy producing and finance centres with a strong history of economic cooperation. The seventh annual Energy Roundtable will take place in September 2010 in Calgary, Canada.
